Civil War
I did a little poking around on ancestry.com this morning, looking at Civil War records. Searches on Ayars and Deeter show a preponderence for a Union affiliation.
The search on Wimberly? Umm.... not so good for the Union fans.
Total of 131 veterans' records for Wimberlys in their database. Out of those 131, 22 fought for the Union. 109 fought for the Confederacy.

hmmm... have you tried Google's "Patent Search", yet?
It's fun to search for family and local town/street names... or even to see who has a patent on the best fly swatter.
